Ideal for smaller sewage pumps as the liquid does not pass through the impeller. Can handle stringy matter, paper, rags etc, with large clearances ensuring long life. Also suitable for high speeds due to the impeller being balanced.
Single Channel
Ideal for sewage pumps of larger sizes. Liquid passes through eye of impeller, but large clearance within the impeller ensures free passage.
Two Channel
Generally used for surface water applications or for handling sewage on very large pumps. More efficient than vortex or single channel impellers.
MULTICUT SUBMERSIBLE MACERATING PUMPSApplication
The Multicut submersible macerating pump is designed to handle sewage and waste water. With flows up to 5l/s and heads of 50 metres. It is ideal for small domestic and commercial installations and remote small developments, such as farms and motorway service stations where the pumping main can have very long pipe runs. The Multicut System External three blade hardened stainless steel cutter blade, rotates in front of a perforated cutter plate which shears any solid present before entering the casing and vortex impeller. Cast iron pump, vortex impeller, stainless steel shaft, rotary shaft seals between pump, oil chamber, and an IP68 electric motor. ‘EX’ rated motors also available. AT (ASC) Range Sewage Pumps with Cutter MechanismApplication The AT range of sewage pumps with Additional Solids Cutting mechanism (ASC) have channel impellers with up to 100mm solids handling ability, plus an effective cutting mechanism that chops the solids particles before they enter the pump.
